A man was killed in one-car crash this morning on Route 286 in Westmoreland County.

Stanley Deren, 56, of Saltsburg, Indiana County, died in the accident, which occurred around 5:45 a.m. The vehicle left the road, went through a yard and dropped into a creek bed.

Police said Mr. Deren was not wearing a seat belt. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
