An Evans City woman, whose husband already is awaiting trial on sex assault and bestiality charges involving a 14-year-old girl, faces a preliminary hearing this month in connection with the case.
Chantal Sahady, 24, is being held on $10,000 bail in the Butler County Jail, pending a hearing at 2:40 p.m. Nov. 18 on five counts each of criminal conspiracy and solicitation.
Investigators said Mrs. Sahady's statements to them in August led to the arrest of her husband, Stephen Sahady Jr., 25, who is free on $75,000 bond pending trial on charges that include indecent assault, corruption of minors, involuntary deviate sexual intercourse and bestiality.
Mrs. Sahady told police that between January 2008 and July 3, 2009, she watched, photographed and sometimes participated when her husband had sex with the girl, of Cranberry, beginning when the alleged victim was 14.
Police seized Mrs. Sahady's personal computer and recovered photographs and video images of the incidents, including encounters between the girl and the couple's dog.
The incidents occurred at least once a week, according to an affidavit that supports the couple's arrests.
